A tracker in the next seat on a train is not a threat. One that turns up with you at home, at work and at the shops is. Tracker Detector tells the two apart: it records where each tracker was seen and warns you when the same one appears with you in several different places.

The hard part is that these devices change their Bluetooth address every few minutes, precisely so that they cannot be followed. Tracker Detector reads the identifiers each network carries underneath that address, so a tag that has changed address ten times is still recognised as the same tag.

IT READS THE STATE OF THE TRACKER
Every one of these devices broadcasts whether its owner is nearby or whether it has been separated from them. A tag travelling with you while its owner is somewhere else is the exact shape a planted tracker has, and the app weighs it that way.

Found something suspicious? Locate mode turns the signal into sound and vibration that grow stronger as you close in, so you can search a car or a bag section by section.

Tracker Detector is a detection tool. It cannot disable a tracker or tell you who owns it. If you find one you did not place and you believe someone is following you, contact your local police: the tracker itself is evidence.
